Name: Pause for Thought

Artist: Holly Bowler

Made: 2013

An eleven minuet and twelve second long artists film. This is more of an advanced version of the untitled composition using a combination of imagery, sound and documentary footage to talk about the current environmental issues we face today as a planet. As well as quoting history as an example to learn from. This films intention is to enlighten and question our current way of life.

Some of the music was from the original footage, however, other sound has been arranged by Adam Coles, a young composer based in Yorkshire.

Would like to stress that the film footage and imagery has been sampled for the making of this Artists Film.

Artist: Holly Bowler

Made: 2012

New film based on a prophecy by the native American Cree people.
Our consumerist attitude towards life could one day be our downfall, and the cause of our planets destruction.

"When all the trees have been cut down,
when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat
money."

The idea to create a piece of work that had been started and influenced by the whole of the UK was something I has really wanted to do for a while. My posters work were only from selected few. However, I had an idea to look online and use what's on there. The finished result is this approximately five minute long Video Composition. What is shown here are some samples of images and videos that have been influenced by the opinions of those that made them, not by me. The images shown are from other people who have made a point to verbalize their reflections on the current Political Climate within the UK.
