The Unlimited Dream Company presents 'The Unlimited Dream Company.' The first group performance by the company. Based on the novel by JG Ballard. The Unlimited Dream Company was fused together to present an exhibit as part of the Ballard's Art Festival in Lincoln, 2013. The exhibit run from the 7th to the 10th of May in 2013. Located at The Greyfriars and the St Benedict's Centre.

The exhibition consisted of live performance as well as individual static works. The Performance began at The Greyfriars, then continued through Lincoln High Street to Finish at St Benedict's, this was run once a day throughout the exhibit being open. The performance showed the story of Blake, (the leading man in JG Ballard's book, 'The Unlimited Dream Company') from his plain crash and rebirth in this state of Limbo. His confusion of being. Then the moment of realisation of his pure overbearing power and finally the end, his body alone in limbo. Throughout there is a constant theme of human to bird transformation, as the book consists of different forms of animal metamorphism.

Located at St Benedict's were individual static works made by each artist, each work was inspired by a section of the book also.

As an extra to the exhibit, The Unlimited Dream Company visited Westgate Academy, and St Faith's Church of England Junior School, where a few members work with the kids to make there own bird masks. These were later exhibited in St Benedict's alongside the Art.

The group was recently interviewed by Lincoln Art Scene, asking questions about how we preform as a group as well as questions about our first exhibit 'The Unlimited Dream Company.' In a state of Limbo between life and death the books main character is a trapped soul, waiting to be freed, he can absorb the souls of others to give him strength and releases them if he chooses.

The people of Pompeii came to mind when I thought of Blake, almost alive in this sealed plaster form. They themselves look like trapped souls.

I have recreated the look of the people of Pompeii as I would picture Blake once he was left behind at the end. A full plaster cast of myself, with the souls of the others slowly seeping out, lifeless, but still you can see some life left behind.
